back stateside

i'm back on US soil. it's awkward. no humidity. no mopeds. no hoards of chinese people in my face. i miss dragon boat (1st place in taipei county races WOOOOO thank you for the unforgettable ktv extravaganza!), shi-da, hanging in the PR teacher's lounge (thank you for the farewell night at bed!), my family, and especially my japanese crew (thank you for sending me off with my mommy at the airport!!). what am i going to do now!!? i guess go live in a third world country.
我回到美國了。好奇怪！沒有濕氣. 沒有摩托車. 沒有中國人。我很想龍舟隊（謝謝你們參加ktv派對!), 師大, 在 PR 上班, 我家人, 和特別我的日本朋友（謝謝送我到機場!!). 我現在要怎麼過生活了？！！去第三世界國家吧！

i've been spending the last two days at jee-long river like it's my job! even though it smells like poo, it is worth it. we are kicking butt in the taipei city dragon boat races. today i rowed five races ahhh my shoulders are sore! i love my team! we are going to go out with a bang tomorrow! perfect way to end my year in taiwan. oooogi oooogi 師大龍舟隊我愛你！

little things

my passport arrived in the mail WITH MY GHANA VISA today! yay! the trip and this blog is not a total farce! so, next couple things on my to do list include buying inexpensive but dependable mosquito net and water filter. hmm, the checklist also recommends that i bring toilet paper. i'm sort of confused. if i bring six months worth of toilet paper, how will there be room for anything else? maybe i just won't go while i'm there...ever. yeah, i know, that's sort of impossible, but so is stuffing half a ton of tissues in my suitcase.
好棒！今天我的ghana簽證從美國送到我家了。去非洲的計劃和這個blog不是假的！：）我還需要買很多不一樣的東西，但是我太懶用中文解釋。有一個奇怪的事是他們介紹我帶衛生紙。我怎麼可能把六個月的衛生紙方在行李裡面？不可能的任務！
